Shifting Gates is a single-player puzzle game published by Mahir Yüksel. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the app does and does not do with information.
We do not collect any personal data ourselves. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics of our own and no server of ours. Your progress stays on your device.
The game shows ads, served by Google AdMob. To show and measure them, Google's ad software in the app collects some information from your device, described below. The game works without a network connection; with none, it simply shows no ads.
The game saves your progress locally so you can close it and come back. That save contains only:
This is written with Android's standard app-preferences storage, stays inside the app's own private storage area, and is never uploaded by us. It contains no name, no email address, no device identifier, and no location.
Ads appear between some levels, and as optional videos you can choose to watch for in-game coins. They are provided by Google AdMob. When the app requests or shows an ad, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
Google uses this to deliver ads, to measure them, to prevent fraud and to show ads based on your interests — unless you opt out (see below) or, where the law requires it, only with your consent. The information goes to Google, not to us; we see only aggregated reports. How Google uses it is explained in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in Google's Privacy Policy.
The app requests no runtime permissions. It does not use the camera, microphone, contacts,
location, or files. It uses the network permission to fetch ads, and Google's ad SDK declares
the advertising ID permission (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID).
Shifting Gates is rated for general audiences. It is not directed at children under 13, and ads in it are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
The app is built with the Unity engine; Unity's own analytics and reporting services are switched off in the build. The only third-party service in the app is Google AdMob, with Google's User Messaging Platform for consent. There is no analytics SDK, crash-reporting service or payment provider.
If a future version of the game changes what is collected or shared, this page will be updated before that version is published, and the date at the top will change.
